At 30 June 2007, the Western Australian meat cattle herd stood at 2.2 million with most meat cattle found in the Kimberley (639,000) and South West (373,000) Statistical Divisions.

At 30 June 2007, the Western Australian sheep and lamb flock stood at 21.1 million. At 30 June 2007, the majority of all sheep and lambs were found in the Upper Great Southern (5.9 million), Lower Great Southern (5.3 million), and Midlands (5.2 million) Statistical Divisions.

At 30 June 2007, the Western Australian pig herd stood at 326,000 with 37% found in the Midlands Statistical Division (121,000).
