NORTHERN TERRITORY

  • From June 2006 to June 2016, the ten SA2s with the largest population increases in the Northern Territory were within Greater Darwin. The outer southern SA2 of Rosebery - Bellamack had the largest growth in terms of absolute numbers (up by 5,500 people), followed by Lyons (4,900) on the northern fringe of the city, and Darwin City (4,300).
  • Rosebery - Bellamack was also the fastest-growing SA2 (in that it had the strongest growth rate) in the Northern Territory, increasing by 340% between 2006 and 2016. This was followed by Darwin City (150%) and Howard Springs (86%).
