ABOUT THIS RELEASE

This discussion paper will detail ABS views on the enhancement of data from the 2006 Census of Population and Housing. It will include details of the proposal, reasons why the ABS is considering enhancing the population census dataset and details of the benefits of this dataset for statistical and research purposes. Privacy and confidentiality aspects will also be discussed. The Discussion Paper will be used to inform the public and ABS data users of the commencement of the public submission process and the mechanisms for making a submission.
