Commonwealth electoral boundary changes and 2006 Census data
  • Since the 2006 Census of Population and Housing was undertaken last year, there have been changes to a number of federal electoral divisions.
  • 2006 Census data for current federal electoral divisions is available for Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, Tasmania, Northern Territory, and the Australian Capital Territory on the ABS website.
  • Federal electoral division data for the new boundaries for New South Wales and Queensland will be available on the ABS website in October this year. Data for these divisions is available as a customised service.
